St James’ CofE Primary school fosters close links with our local church St James with St Lukes in Staple Tye.
We have our very own School Chaplain Rev Richard Attew who visits the school every Wednesday.
He enjoys having lunch with the children, leads a staff Prayer Group and runs a prayer club for children across the school.
Rev. Richard is also a member of the Governing Body and works closely with our SLT to support the continuous development of our Christian Character throughout the school.
School Chaplaincy
It is my privilege to be Chaplain & Governor to St. James’ Church of England Primary School. This vibrant, caring, successful community is at the heart of our local neighbourhood – a community within a community & a community for the community.
I know that all our staff work extremely hard to help achieve the very best outcomes academically & socially for our children. As our slogan reminds us, we at St. James’ Believe, Love & Learn Together!
The person of Jesus Christ & the Christian faith is a key director & motivator for our Christian values & ethos at St. James’. We long to example to our pupils the generous, inclusive, gracious attitude that Jesus showed. We at St. James’ believe our pupils to be wonderful. We believe that they are wonderful because of who they are, not simply what they accomplish.
All of us at the school hope that your child will enjoy their time at St. James’ Church of England Primary. We look forward to welcoming them into our community.
